Delete your account and data

Last updated: 28 July 2026

You can delete your DailyEcho account and all data that belongs to it yourself, right inside the app. There is nothing to request and nothing to wait for.

In the app (recommended)

  1. Open DailyEcho
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Scroll to the Data section
  4. Tap Delete account
  5. Confirm in the dialog that appears

Deletion happens immediately. You are returned to the app's start screen afterwards.

Only want to clear this device? Choose Delete all data in the same section instead. Your account and your data in the cloud stay as they are.

What gets deleted

Deleted Kept
Your account and sign-in details Purchases in the App Store or Google Play
All notes, moods and activities Exports you saved or shared yourself
Goals, challenges and earned badges
Health data the app had read in
Photos and voice recordings on your notes
Cloud backups and shared links

Deletion covers both your device and our servers. No copy is kept and there is no grace period: this cannot be undone.

Health data in Apple Health or Android Health Connect belongs to you and stays there. DailyEcho only removes the copy the app itself held.

About a Premium purchase

A subscription or one-off purchase is tied to your App Store or Google Play account, not to your DailyEcho account, so it survives deleting your account.

If you create a new account later, you can bring it back with Restore purchases on the premium screen. Cancel an active subscription through the App Store or Google Play; deleting your DailyEcho account does not cancel it for you.

Cannot do it in the app?

For example because you already removed the app, or you can no longer sign in. Email privacy@dailyecho.nl with the subject Delete account.

Include the email address you used to create the account so we know which one to remove. We handle the request within 30 days and confirm once it is done. To stop someone else from having your account deleted, we may ask you to confirm from that email address.
