Run into something, or missing a feature? Email support@dailyecho.nl. We read everything and usually reply within a few working days.

Where you can, mention which device you use and which version of the app. You will find the version in the app under Settings, at the very bottom under About.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my data stored?

On your own device. DailyEcho works fully offline and you do not need an account to use it. If you do create one, your data is synced as well so you can use it on more than one device. Your journal notes are encrypted on your device before they are sent anywhere.

I missed a day, did I lose my streak?

Not straight away. You get one grace day per week, so missing a day leaves your streak intact. That is deliberate: a journal that makes you feel guilty works against you.

How do I get my data out?

Through Settings → Data → Export. You can choose PDF, CSV or JSON. The file is yours to keep or share wherever you like.

How do I delete my account?

Through Settings → Data → Delete account. See account deletion for exactly what gets removed.

I bought Premium but I do not see it

Tap Restore purchases on the premium screen. Purchases are tied to your App Store or Google Play account, so they come back on any device signed in with that same account. If it still does not work, email us with the date of your purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You do that at the store you bought it from, not inside DailyEcho. On iPhone through Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android through the Play Store → your profile → Payments and subscriptions.

The app is not reading my health data

Check that you granted permission: on iPhone in the Health app under Sharing, on Android in Health Connect. DailyEcho only reads steps, heart rate and sleep, and uses them purely to show them alongside your mood.

Going through a rough patch? DailyEcho is a journal, not a care service. If you need someone to talk to:
Netherlands, 113 Suicide Prevention, free on 0800-0113 or chat at 113.nl. De Luisterlijn is available day and night on 088-0767000.
Belgium, Zelfmoordlijn 1813 or Tele-Onthaal 106.
In an emergency, call 112.
Outside these countries, look up your local crisis line; the app shows the ones for your region.
